Alleged photos of the next-generation Nexus 7 leaked, could be announced on July 24

There’s been quite a bit of excitement surrounding the next-generation Nexus 7, with rumors and information leaks surfacing at regular intervals. We have seen the rumored specs, rumored date of launch and also reports on what it could be priced at. The latest to come out of the rumor mills are the first set of live photos that show the forthcoming tablet from all possible angles.
The tablet in the photos is codenamed ME571K_PR1_SKU2 by ASUS and the big Nexus letters at the back indicate that this could very well be the next-gen Nexus 7. The device itself looks quite similar to the current-gen tab save for a new camera and dual- speakers at the back.
Talking of specifications, unlike the previous leaks, this report says that the tablet will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. There’s also a new 5-megapixel camera at the back, which supplements the 1.2-megapixel shooter at the front.
Other specs though remain quite consistent, with the tablet said to feature a 7- inch LCD display, optional 16/32GB internal memory, 2GB of RAM, 4,000mAh battery and connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE and NFC.
The software on the tablet is a bit debatable at the moment, with the report suggesting that it will be powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which is expected to be revealed at the July 24 event in San Francisco. The tablet too is expected to be unveiled at the same event, but that is yet to be confirmed.
